On Thursday March 9th from 4:30pm to 7pm, around 200 students, parents and educators will attend the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) Pathways event at Binghamton University’s Innovative Technologies Complex.

The STEAM Pathways event is free for kids in grades 7-12, and their parents, as well as educators.

The goal of STEAM Pathways is to increase awareness and interest in STEAM careers (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math), and to provide information to youth and parents regarding the pathways needed to achieve these careers. There will also be two separate break-out sessions for youth and parents with a variety of speakers.

This event will feature exhibits by local STEAM businesses and organizations including:
BAE Systems, Binghamton University, Columbian Financial Group, Delta Engineers, Lockheed Martin, SUNY Broome, The Raymond Corporation and more.

The itinerary for the STEAM Pathways event is as follow:

4:00 pm – Registration
4:30 pm – Exhibit Tables Featuring STEAM organizations/companies
5:40 pm – General Session with speakers including:

-Al Buyck, District Superintendent, Broome-Tioga BOCES
-Randall Edouard, Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Admissions and Enrollment, Binghamton University
-Dr. Kevin Drumm, President, SUNY Broome

6:00 pm – Youth and Parent Breakout Sessions
6:50 pm - Exhibit Tables Featuring STEAM organizations/companies
