Binghamton Senators

It's almost Hockey time in the Southern Tier.  The big boys may be in a lockout(NHL), but the Binghamton Senators begin tonight at home with their preseason opener against  Hershey.  They play again at home on Saturday against the Albany River Rats.

It promises to be an exciting year.  New coach Luke Richardson has taken over the helm and with the NHL lockout going on,  some players that might be playing with Ottawa will be here in Binghamton instead.  Hopefully we can regain the glory of two years ago,  when we won the Calder Cup.  Kate Krenzer, media relations, told me that 11 players are here from the team that was here two years ago.

The season begins for real at home on Hawktober 13th when we play the dreaded Wilkes Barre Penguins.  We'll be doing Chuck a Puck between the 2nd and 3rd period beginning on the 13th. Tara (my soon to be 8 year old daughter) and I have been practicing our Chuck a Puck routine in the backyard.  After all,  I don't want to get it wrong and embarrass her (she is the true star on the Chuck a Puck ice). For all the details and upcoming promotions go to  We'll see you on the ice and "LETS GO SENS."
