The Binghamton Senators won't play at home until Friday, January 16th, but we still have something to cheer about. I know my daughter, Riley will be thrilled!

The AHL All-Stars have been announced and B-Sen, Chris Wideman, made the squad for the 1st time and will represent the Eastern Conference.

Chris turns 25 today and is tied for the league lead among defensemen with 29 points (12 goals, 17 assists). He's tied even though he's been called up to Ottawa and missed the last few games.

The All-Star Classic will take place at Utica Memorial Auditorium and start with the All-Star Skills Competition on Sunday, January 25th.

The All-Star Game will be the next night. It consists of 23 players from the Western Conference and 23 players from the Eastern Conference.

Riley's favorite player is Chris. She was bumming because he had been called up to Ottawa and he missed the B-Sen post-game skate last Saturday. She said, "Why couldn't he be called up next week?"

A few weeks ago, the Hawk was doing our Teddy Bear drop-offs with the B-Sens at a couple locations. The only one that Riley didn't go to was our first drop, which of course, was the one Chris attended.

The B-Sens took turns at the other locations (which Riley was at) but Chris was done for the day. Opportunity missed. Congratulations Chris! Oh, and happy birthday too!
