2018 was a good year for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies with their best attendance in 25 years. They'll start next season with a $5 million stadium upgrade and a new manager. Luis Rojas will leave the Ponies after two seasons to join the New York Mets Major League coaching staff.

He will fill the new position of Quality Control Coach and serve as go-between for the Mets front office and the coaching staff. So who is going to replace him? Kevin Boles

Boles will serve as the 16th manger in their franchise history and the second to take the helm for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. Boles spent the last eleven seasons managing in the Boston Red Sox system.

His latest stop was with the Pawtucket Red Sox (AAA) and lead the team to one International League championship. The 2019 season will be his 20th year as a manager or full-time coach in Minor League Baseball.

Boles tenure with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies will start in Manchester on April 4th against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and at NYSEG Stadium for the home opener on April 11th against the Erie SeaWolves.

The 2019 season looks to be in good hands with Kevin Boles at the wheel, so Saddle-Up for Funn. Good luck Kevin and I'll see you at the ballpark in April.
