Those who know me know that I'm Irish and love anything and everything Irish- including Gallagher's Irish Pub, which is why it was pretty much a no-brainer that Glenn and I decided to have dinner at Gallagher's as part of Binghamton Restaurant Week.

When I stepped out of my car, there was a lady named Deborah standing next to it and I commented that I loved her boots. We got to chatting and it turns out that she and her daughter are big fans of the Hawk Morning Show and were checking out Gallagher's for the first time.

You know how sometimes you look at a menu and everything on it looks so good that you have trouble deciding what to get?  That's what happened at Gallagher's. Glenn, his daughter Tara and I must have spent about 20 minutes trying to decide what to order.

I went with the Filet Mignon and Glenn picked the Shrimp Diablo.  You know how most times when you order Filet Mignon it's just a teeny little speck of meat on your plate that you can hardly find?  Not the case at Gallagher's. I was served a very good sized filet and Glenn's bowl of Shrimp Diablo was huge. If you're a fan of filet, I highly recommend visiting Gallagher's during Restaurant Week because my meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly and you can't beat a 3-course Filet Mignon meal for just $20.

Owner Marijo Gallagher stopped by to say hi and we couldn't help but poke some fun at Glenn who it seems got more of his meal on his shirt than in his mouth.

We topped off our meals with homemade desserts made by Marijo's mom that never disappoints.

Don’t forget that Binghamton Restaurant Week is going on through September 26th and this is an amazing chance to check out some local restaurants and help out a good cause too as a portion of the proceeds benefit CHOW.
