I stopped at Crepe Heaven, a beautiful little family run restaurant located at 217 Main Street, Binghamton. When you walk in, you will find high-top tables with flowers on beautiful hard wood floors and a friendly staff handing out an impressive menu of heavenly choices.

From the name Crepe Heaven, you would think crepes are all they offer.  Not so.  Although they feature over 15 styles of crepes, everything from dessert crepes to pizza crepes, I also suggest you try one of their panini's, a gyro or a large 1/3 pound Bosnian Burger.

But I was hungry for crepes.  The owner warmly greeted me and made me feel very welcome.  I shared with him that my grandmother, God bless her soul, made me  homemade crepes most Sundays, to which his response was, "everyone's grandma made them crepes."  He took time to explain the menu for restaurant week and the choices were nice.

My first course started with delicious homemade soup.  You can always tell when it's homemade.  My savory crepe choice was a huge chicken crepe that was done just right with a variety of veggies and tangy cheese.  Very tasty and the presentation looked like something out of a Martha Stewart magazine.

For dessert, I had many options from a huge refrigerated case of homemade cakes and sweets, featuring one of my favorites, baklava. One of the owners proudly shared that she made everything this morning.  I had to go with the baklava because I feel it was the best I ever had.

Crepe Heaven is my new favorite dining option.  The tastes are truly heavenly.  Everything was perfect and I can't wait to bring friends back for dinner to celebrate a small party we are planning in the near future.

Crepe Heaven is closed on Sundays but they're open for breakfast, lunch and dinner beginning at 9am.  They close at 3 on Sundays.  You'll have some nice options ordering off the Binghamton Restaurant Week menu but I suggest you take a gander at their regular menu too because I'm sure you'll be returning to Crepe Heaven in the near future.

Crepe Heaven is only participating in the lunch portion of The Bighamton Restaurant Week menu through Thursday March 21st.
