If you love great food, getting together with your friends and family, Binghamton Restaurant is something you should not miss.  In it's 12th season, this fall's round runs today thru Thursday September 24th, offering lunch and dinner deals at 31 locally owned Binghamton Restaurants.

Patrons will be treated to three-course meals for $12 or less for lunch and $25 or less for dinner.  Since its founding, Binghamton Restaurant Week has brought more than $2.5 million in Restaurant Week sales at the participating restaurants, that resulted in nearly $50,000 in donations to local charities.

This year, there are 2 special charities near and dear to my heart that will receive great benefit with your visit; CHOW and Animal Care Council.

CHOW Director Michael Leahey is very thankful to be one of the selected charities. "Last year, we provided 1,000,000 meals to those who struggle with food insecurity through the 33 food pantries and 34 meal sites that we partner with."

The second charity benefiting is Animal Care Council.  ACC is a local, non-profit organization that runs almost entirely by volunteers and that's why fundraisers like Binghamton Restaurant Week are so important and will make a huge difference to the animal shelter located on Washington Avenue in Endicott. Funds raised will help feed and house the cats, vet care, the Foster Care program and help people who may not be able to afford the low cost spay and neuter program ACC offers.
