CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BINGHAMTON METS!!! They are the Eastern League Champs for the 3rd time in their history.

Jayce Boy's pinch-hit RBI walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth inning propels the B-Mets to a 2-1 win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels and complete a three-game sweep.

Xorge Carrillo was named MVP of the postseason. The B-Mets won the final 5 games of the playoffs. This had lost 6 in a row heading into the playoffs. It's their 3rd title and the 1st since 1994.

It's the 2nd series sweep for the team since moving to Binghamton in 1992. The 89 wins between the regular season and playoffs is a franchise record.

Congrats to the Binghamton Mets and can't wait til next year when they get a chance to defend their title.
