Just like that it's over.  The Binghamton Mets lose to the Trenton Thunder 3-0 and are eliminated from the playoffs. It was a wonderful year that came to a sudden end.

For the third night in a row, the Mets didn't take advantage of scoring chances. They left 15 men on base last night and left 36 on base in the three games . In the last 4 innings, Binghamton had the tying run on base or brought to the plate. Twice they had the bases loaded, but couldn't score.

Pedro Lopez, Wilfredo Tovar, and Danny Muno were all thrown out in the 7th. Binghamton wasn't swept at all in the regular season and unfortunately picked a bad time to have their first. To see everything about last night's game go here.

It was an awesome year with the Mets winning a franchise high 86 games. It was the first time in 9 years that they made the playoffs. It's too bad that we only had a chance to see them once in the post season at NYSEG Stadium before it was over

Thanks once again to everyone involved with the Binghamton Mets including Jim Wheeler and his staff.  You all did a wonderful job with something going on at every home game.  You made it a delight to come to the park for everyone especially the kids.  My 8 year old daughter, Tara, always beat me in the kid run. I've always said that I run like a deer......John Deere....going up a hill......with a wagon load of hay.

The end came way too fast but before you know it, it'll be time for the B-Mets Welcome Back Dinner. Thanks again to all that came to the games and supported the Mets throughout the season. We'll see you again in 2014 when we'll BEElieve again in the Binghamton Mets.
