The Binghamton Mets have done it again, again. For the 3rd year, they are heading to the playoffs.

Going into last night, the magic number was 2. They needed to defeat the Fightin Phils and they needed a loss by Trenton. They got both.

The B-Mets begin with a blowout 16-4 road win. Then they waited as Trenton falls to New Britain in 12 innings, 6-5.

They'll play in Reading tonight then return to NYSEG Stadium for the final homestand of the regular season against Altoona.

Friday will be Mets-A-Ritaville featuring Fireworks Night. Put on your flip-flops, beach shorts, and sun glasses. During the game, you can bid on special Tropical themed jerseys to benefit the Broome Sports Foundation.

Stick around after the game for fireworks! First pitch is at 7:05pm.

Saturday is Grandparents Night. All fans 60 and over get a free ticket. It's also Drawstring Bag giveaway day. The first 1,000 kids (14 and under) get a free bag. First pitch is at 7:05pm.

Sunday is Back to School/Fireworks Night. It's the final Firework show of the regular season. 1st pitch is 6:35.

The B-Mets still face the Phils again in the playoffs. The B-Mets will defend their Eastern League title beginning on Wednesday. It most likely will be at NYSEG Stadium for the first 2 games.

Let's go Mets, into the playoffs for the 3rd straight year!
