Binghamton Mets Begin Playoffs Tonight at NYSEG Stadium

It all begins tonight. The Binghamton Mets begin the defense of their Eastern League Crown. They will also put their 5 game post-season win streak on the line at NYSEG Stadium.

It's the Eastern Division Championship Series against the Reading Fightin Phils.

It's a best of 5 series with the first 2 games at home.1st pitch is at 6:35 both nights.Tonight Tyler Pill takes the mound for the B-Mets.

In other Binghamton Met news, President and Co-Owner Michael Urda is stopping rumors that the team will leave Binghamton after next season. The team will be here next year and beyond.

There had been rumors that a prospective new owner would move the operation from Binghamton to Delaware for the 2017 season.

Urda said that the New York Mets are happy with Binghamton. Binghamton has a working agreement with the New York Mets through the 2020 season.

Let's go Mets, into the playoffs for the 3rd straight year!
