While soda may not be the best thing in the world for your kids' health, there's a fun and educational presentation happening in Binghamton that puts a new spin on the (soda) bottle.

The Broome County Public Library in Downtown Binghamton is hosting "Soda Bottle Science" on Thursday July 24th at 2:30pm, for children ages 5 and older.  The program will actually be presented by award-winning author and science celebrity Steve "The Dirtmeister" Tomecek.

During the program, Steve will explore over a dozen different science experiments that kids can safely do at home using soda bottles, coffee cans, sandwich bags and other household items.

To find out more on this presentation or the Summer reading program, call the library at 607-778-6456 or e-mail BCPLyouthservices@gmail.com.

It sounds like a fun and educational thing your kids and grand kids can do on a hot July afternoon in Binghamton.
