There are no words to describe the impact heroin addiction has on both individuals and families. Simply put- heroin addiction destroys and ruins lives. Whether you’ve lost a loved one to heroin, are battling addiction yourself or are scared that someone you love might be using, there are people who want to help and will do so without judgment.

On Sunday August 17th, there will be a free heroin awareness event in Binghamton at Cheri Lindsey Memorial Park on Truesdell Street from 1pm-5pm.

At this event, there will be free food, music, entertainment, raffles and activities like face painting and games for the kids. There will also be guest speakers who will share their testimonies of how heroin has played a role in their life. These speakers will consist of members of the community, rehabilitation reps, help support groups and law enforcement agencies.
