Binghamton Garlic Festival Sure to Spice Up the Weekend
I recently got new neighbors and while filling them in on the neighborhood, I apologized that they’ll probably smell garlic wafting from my house on a regular basis because I try to find a way to incorporate it into everything I cook. Not only am I fan of the flavor, but garlic is a big time cancer fighter.
If you love garlic, you won’t want to miss The American Civic Organization’s Annual Multi-Ethnic Garlic Festival which will be held this Saturday and Sunday August 9th and 10th at the American Civic Association at 131 Front Street in Binghamton from 11am-5pm on Saturday and 11am-4pm Sunday.
The Garlic Festival features an ethnic food court, daily entertainment including musical acts as well as professional, amateur and ethnic dance ensembles. Several vendors are expected to be on hand featuring crafts, garlic growers and various foods accented by garlic. Sounds delicious, doesn’t it?!?
Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children with children 5-years-old and younger free.
