Binghamton Crime Listing Questioned

Binghamton’s Police Chief is reassuring residents that they are not likely to be the victim of a crime in the Parlor City.

Binghamton was listed in an internet article as number nine on the ten most dangerous cities in New York.

Police Chief Joseph Zikuski says the posting on mylife.com uses manipulated, outdated numbers.

Blogger, Christian Nesser is employed by the search engine for mylife.com and works to increase traffic to the website.

In addition to crime numbers publicly provided by the FBI for 2012, Nesser reportedly factored in the number of people who have bought insurance in the community, saying people who are not insured put themselves and their families at risk.
