Restaurants and businesses in the Greater Binghamton area are once again showing their appreciation for area veterans and active duty military that served or are currently serving in the armed forces this Veterans Day, with some extending discounts and free offers in to the weekend.
Before heading out, I recommend that you call ahead or check the restaurant's web site or Facebook page to make sure the location is participating in the promotion.  Some restaurants are corporate-owned and others are franchised-owned and offers may vary.  Many businesses require proof of military service by requesting that you present a uniform photo or be in uniform.  And many of the restaurants offering free meals are for dine-in only.
