Billy Currington kicked off December with some very good news to share with a songwriting buddy of his.

His hit 'Hey Girl,' co-written by Rhett Akins, soared to #1.  Both were honored last week at a ASCAP/BMI luncheon in Nashville.  Rhett is the father of Thomas Rhett and with 'Hey Girl,' this will make Rhett's 14th #1 prize as a songwriter.

Billy is looking to record more Rhett tunes in the future.  Today Billy announced he would be hitting the road next year for his 'We Are Tonight' headlining tour, after his new song you can hear on the HAWK by the same name.  Billy promises a good time with opening acts Brett Eldredge and newcomer Chase Rice.

Billy is also looking forward to hitting the beach with you, Brantley Gilbert, Dierks Bentley and Jana Kramer this February for 'Boots In The Sand.'  This is the tropical country music adventure of a lifetime, taking place on the sandy beaches of Mexico.  Defiantly a great holiday gift for the country music lover you know and love.  Find out more HERE.
