The last time I was at Greek Peak in Virgil, New York, I felt as though it needed a major facelift.  It's nice having a ski resort 40 minutes from Binghamton so many ski fans would overlook the cosmetic needs of this iconic ski resort.

The new owners spent $7.5 million to buy the resort and now reports have them spending another $3 million on improvements that will be ready to experience in December 2013.

Plans include a new quad lift that will cut down travel time up the mountain from 13 to seven minutes, and could carry over 1000 more people per hour.

Other cosmetic and remodeling improvements will also come with the new ski season as will increased snow making capabilities.

Is it December yet?  I'm ready to ski!
