Both the Yankees and the Mets are in the MLB Playoffs. The Mets for the 1st time since 2006 and the Yankees since 2012.

If you plan on going to the games, be aware of ticket scams.

The Yankees are limping into the playoffs, they lost 6 of their last 7 games, falling to Baltimore yesterday, 9-4.

But thanks to Houston losing to Arizona 5-3, they back into a 1-game playoff at home on Tuesday in the AL Wild Card Game.

The NY Mets have the 3rd best record in the NL and will play in LA on Friday.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says scammers often target major sporting events. He says to watch out for ticket prices that seem too good to be true. He also suggests that you avoid paying by cash or wire transfer in favor of credit cards.

A friend of mine bought tickets last year to the Yankee home opener. He wanted to take his son to Yankee Stadium to see Derek Jeter begin his final season. He got his tickets on-line and went to the game.

When he got to the gate, he and his son got to watch the Yankee game....at a nearby bar and out 200 bucks. He found out his tickets were counterfeit.

My friend wanted to have a memory of Derek Jeter's last season at Yankee Stadium. He got it, just not the one he thought.
