One thing my Mom and Dad would always tell me is you don't talk politics and religion with friends and strangers.

Last week I shared a little tidbit on my show from Pew Research Center that didn't surprise me, "eighteen percent of social networking site users have DE-friended, blocked or hidden friends on line because of the nature of their political views."  I'm sure you have considered that or have actually done it yourself.  I have.  Personally,  I try to stay away from politics on my radio show and whenever possible in my personal life.

But it's not every day a presidential candidate comes to Binghamton.  We received the news Friday that Senator Bernie Sanders was holding a Town Hall meeting at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton Monday morning at 10.  Well over 5000 people packed the Arena within a matter of hours and I estimate about 1500 or more were waiting outside in hopes of being allowed inside.  I was one of those people wishing I had arrived earlier.

"Inspiring," "fascinating" and "historic" were some of the adjectives I overheard by those leaving the Binghamton Arena.  Bernie won over a lot of new support here in the Binghamton area.

While many could not make today's event, I wanted to share today's Binghamton Town Hall with Bernie Sanders in case you wanted to see what he had to say:
