Benefit to Feature Recycled Coffee Bags

Get started on your holiday shopping while supporting a local community organization by attending the 4th Annual Coffee Bag Silent Auction on Saturday November 7th from 3-5:30pm at 3 local cafes and coffee houses.

The event will help the great work that VINES does in our community.  Funds raised from this silent auction fundraiser will support VINES programs such as Community Gardens, Urban Agriculture and Youth Employment.

This silent auction takes place at Laveggio Roasteria, Chroma Cafe & Bakery, and the Loft at 99 in downtown Binghamton.

If you go, you'll find some crafty, artistic and functional items created from recycled burlap coffee bags.  Past auctions have also included mosaic wall hangings, jewelry, aprons and covered benches. Most items are created by local artists, but this year a piece from Denmark will be featured, created by artist Karina Meedom.

So grab some coffee, cocktails and eats, get some shopping done and help out a great community organization VINES or Volunteers Improving Neighborhood Environments.
