15-year-old Kayla Jean Hartwell had a smile that could light a room. There was something about her that was magnetic and her tragic death has rocked the small town of Harpursville to the core.

Kayla lost her life in a freak dirt bike accident on June 19th and as those who live in small towns do, neighbors, friends and even strangers have rallied around Kayla's family as they attempt to comprehend the loss of their daughter and sister.

Anyone who's walked down the sad road of losing a loved one knows that not only is the pain great, but so is the financial burden for those left behind and for that reason, the Harpursville community has organized a dinner and raffle benefit for Kayla's family. All money raised will be given to the family of this sweet girl to help with funeral and medical costs.

The dinner and raffle benefit for Kayla's family will take place this Saturday, July 19th at the West Colesville Fire Station at located at 1305 Colesville Road in Binghamton from 5pm-8pm. Enjoy a spaghetti dinner ($7 for adults and $3 for 10 and under) as well as a raffle and 50/50, lottery tree and more and remember that all monies raised will go directly to Kayla's family to help with bills.
