In July, Denny Decker was injured in a racing accident.  He was racing in memory of his cousin Wade.  He has a broken neck and paralyzed from the chest down.  Denny has recently returned home and needs around the clock care to help with everyday tasks.  Denny's prognosis is still undetermined  and could be another year before they'll even know if he'll have feeling in his body or walk again.

Dennys friends are having a benefit for him on Saturday at the Hitchin Post in Port Crane.  It all starts at 1 and goes all day and into the night.  There'll be live and DJ music throughout the event.  They'll have 2 auctions with sports memorabilia including door panels, tires and more from all your favorite drivers.  They'll also have a racers safety auction, which will include all new stuff for the 2013 season.  You're encouraged to come out for a good time and a great cause with a Chicken BBQ and many other fun events.

Denny is a self employed logger and the provider for his wife and 2 kids.  The benefit is to help buy medical equipment.  If your business would like to donate to the cause, you can drop off any items (merchandise or gift certificate) at the Hitchin Post. Denny would like to that all his friends, family and fans for helping with this event.  I hope to see you there on Saturday.  Traci Taylor may also be making her first appearance in the Southern Tier.
