Beautiful Doesn’t Mean ‘Perfect’
In recognition of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a group in Switzerland created special mannequins representing real-life people with disabilities and put them in storefronts on Zurich's main downtown street.
My eyes welled up with tears when I watched this video. I believe that human life is precious and that everyone deserves to be treated with love and respect. We each have flaws. Some are visible. Some aren't.
The mannequins brought a lot of attention to the way the fashion industry treats "imperfections," and I have to say that it did it in a really beautiful way.
