The Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier (MHAST) has been around since 1927. They do a lot to help the community and I was happy to help them out during Binghamton On Tap on Saturday night.

They have many fundraisers to help those in need. The next one is on January 23. It's the "Beat The Blues" Vendor and Crafter Fair.

Over 20 vendors and crafters will be represented at Flashbacks, 93 State Street, Binghamton from 12-5pm. It's organized by the community group Defining Moments by D&D Events.

Defining Moments specializes in organizing Events with a Purpose focused on fundraising for various charities, organizations, and causes. This month's event will benefit MHAST.

Their programs serving youth and adults help break the stigma of mental illness. Representatives from the agency will be on hand to explain more about the services and programs that are offered in the community.

MHAST is the oldest, continuously operating Mental Health Association affiliate in New York State. They work to promote mental health and recovery, encourage the empowerment of mental health service consumers.

They want to help eliminate discrimination, raise public awareness with education, and advocate for equality and opportunity for all.

There is no charge to enter this shopper’s paradise! A “mega raffle basket” containing donated items from each vendor will be raffled.

I know my family love going to events that have raffle baskets especially Tara. It's even better when it helps out such a great cause. To find out more, call (607) 771-8888.
