The Binghamton Bearcats completed a sweep of the Stony Brook Seawolves on Sunday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports complex with a 3-2 decision.  Binghamton took both ends of a doubleheader against the Seawolves on Saturday.  With the win Binghamton moves to 20-12 overall and 10-2 in America East.  That puts the Bearcats right behind first place Albany who is 9-1.  The two meet next weekend for three games in Albany.

In Sunday's contest Binghamton starter Cara Martin got the victory after throwing four shutout innings. She ups her record to 8-3.  Sarah Miller came on to work the final three innings and earn the save.

Infielder Kate Richard slammed a two-run double to provide the big blow for the Bearcats' offense.  Outfielder Gabby Bracchi went 2-2.

The Bearcats have won five straight games and travel to the University at Buffalo on Wednesday in a non-conference twinbill.  They then head to Albany for a key series against the Great Danes on Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday's game drew a record attendance of 531 fans to the Bearcats Sports Complex.  BU softball has been drawing large crowds since the Complex opened several seasons ago.
