Be The Person Who Makes A Difference This Halloween
It’s Halloween. You don’t get to take the day off and you have to rush home after work to get everything ready for kids when they start ringing your bell looking for candy. It’s easy to get impatient (especially if you’ve had a rough day) with kids who take a long time picking out a piece of candy or if they don’t say thank you. But what you might not know is that little kid standing at your door without a costume could be autistic. Or maybe they have a sensory issue. Maybe every other person on your block has made a snide comment to that kid about the fact they’re not wearing a costume. It’s not their fault.
You can be the person who’s different and makes a difference in that kid’s life. You can be kind and nice and patient. Please remember that this Halloween.
