We really don't know much about how Wonder Woman will fit into the plot of 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,' but we do know that she's being played by Gal Gadot and that she'll get some screen time along Henry Cavill's Superman, Ben Affleck's Batman and Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor. Oh, and thanks to a tiny Vine snippet we now know that DC's Wonder Woman will forgo her classic origin story in favor of her modern beginning.

In her classic beginning, Wonder Woman was crafted out of clay and brought to life by her mother, Hippolyta, and tasked with helping protect women all over the world. In the modern "new 52" era of DC comics (where the entire universe was reset/rebooted a few years back), she was given a very different origin: she's a demigod, the daughter of Zeus. It's a far more "ordinary" in a Greek mythology sense (Zeus has countless children in the old tales and legends) and it's the direction the movie is going with.

Speaking at an event, producer Charles Roven confirms that Wonder Woman will be the daughter of Zeus in the film. The video is only a few seconds long, but there you go. Notice how he says it in such an off-handed way that you have to wonder if the classic beginning was ever even considered.

'Batman vs. Superman' will open on March 25, 2016.
