The Binghamton Senators are only home on Saturday this weekend but it's going to be a great one.

Before representing the United States of America at the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria, local athlete John Williams will drop the ceremonial faceoff before the game against Rochester.

Williams lives in Berkshire and trains with the Newark Valley Special Olympics Adult Team. He will be one of four athletes from Special Olympics New York heading to the World Winter Games to represent the USA.

He'll compete in Cross Country Skiing while Special Olympics New York will compete in both Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing.

New York State Trooper, Neil Case is in charge of the Binghamton Polar Plunge and raises money for Special Olympics. He will also drop the ceremonial faceoff with Williams.
