The Binghamton Mets clobbered the Richmond Flying Squirrels in Richmond last night 11-3 as Josh Smoker earned his first win of the season.  The victory puts Binghamton's record at 58-46.  The B-Mets are 7-3 over their last 10 games and they have won three straight.  They are 33-22 in road games and 26-24 at NYSEG Stadium.

Binghamton is in first place in the Eastern Division.The B-Mets lead Trenton by 1.5 games and Reading by 2.5 games.  New Hampshire is also in the hunt for the top spot and trails Binghamton by three games.  The B-Mets leading hitter is shortstop Gavin Cecchini who is hitting .317 with seven home runs and 44 RBI.

Tonight, Seth Lugo starts on the mound for Binghamton.  He is 6-4 with a 3.20 ERA.  The teams meet at 7:05 PM tonight, 6:05 Saturday and 1:35 Sunday.  Tonight's broadcast begins with Tim Heiman at 6:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.

The B-Mets return home to face Bowie in a three-game series on Tuesday night at 6:35 PM.  They remain home to host the Trenton Thunder in a three-game series next weekend.
