John Davison

I started at the Hawk right out of college: August of 1986.  I was truly awful!  My first show was as shaky as my voice at the time, but I remember getting these wonderful calls from Hawk fans welcoming me to this new station. Then, I graduated to a show I would write, produce and host called "Yesteryear Today."  I loved the name, but my boss at the time did not!  It went on to become the #1 show on Sunday nights! Hawk fans are THE BEST!  I then was given my own evening show where I would share the 6 hour show with some up and comers:  Alan Jackson, Faith Hill, Roy Rogers, Garth Brooks ... I wonder what ever happened with these people?!!  But seriously, I love what I do, I love talking country music with the Hawk fans because I am a fan too!  In my spare time, I work out at Ironworks Gym (pretty intense workout), eat weird food (ask Glenn & Rich!), enjoy my cats (8 is enough!), and whenever I can, I get away to the beach or take a hike!  Take a hike John.  Boy, if I had a dollar for every time I heard that!!!

Binghamton “Carousel Capitol of the World”

Carousels are fading icons, with only approximately 150 throughout the U.S.and Canada, it's fortunate for us that 6 are in the Greater Binghamton area. Donated by George F. Johnson, a local shoe manufacturer and benefactor, between 1919 and 1934, these whimsical relics remind us of a forgotten age, lost in the haze of day-to-day responsibilities
