I’m a local boy, born and raised and the second youngest of 4 kids. I love the outdoors, and much like Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown, if I could, I would spend the rest of my life on a beach with my toes in the sand. I enjoy being around positive people that dream big. Nature and animals are an important part of who I am, in fact, I have many rescue cats. In my spare time, I like to work out using non-traditional weight lifting techniques. Friends will call me a health nut. Country music is an essential part of my life as the Hawk has been very good to me since 1986. I’ve always said I have the most loyal listeners in the world. It’s thanks to my listening family that I received the Binghamton Broadcaster’s “Working Broadcaster of the Year” honor.

All over the Greater Binghamton area today, you will most likely run in to people that have ashes on their forehead.  This ancient ritual follows Fat Tuesday and is known as Ash Wednesday across the world.  Ash Wednesday is important as it always signifies the beginning of Lent observations for many Christian denominations.
