John Davison

I’m a local boy, born and raised and the second youngest of 4 kids. I love the outdoors, and much like Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown, if I could, I would spend the rest of my life on a beach with my toes in the sand. I enjoy being around positive people that dream big. Nature and animals are an important part of who I am, in fact, I have many rescue cats. In my spare time, I like to work out using non-traditional weight lifting techniques. Friends will call me a health nut. Country music is an essential part of my life as the Hawk has been very good to me since 1986. I’ve always said I have the most loyal listeners in the world. It’s thanks to my listening family that I received the Binghamton Broadcaster’s “Working Broadcaster of the Year” honor.

Windsor Whip Works Art Center Holiday Show is Saturday

Hawk New Video Spotlight: ‘Days of Gold’ by Jake Owen [VIDEO]

Jake Owen has always colored outside the lines with his brand of country music.  That's what I love about his music; everything doesn't sound the same and his uptempo stuff is always fun and can usually be categorized as a party anthem.  The Hawk has been a fan of Jake's from the beginning.  Remember 'Yee Haw?!'

SUNY Cortland President Apologizes For Students Behavior Following Football Game

Having gone to school in the Cortland area, I know the town tends to be a laid-back area with a college campus that is usually very well behaved.  That was not the case over the weekend, when more than 30 people were arrested following the Cortaca Jug football game that brings together a longstanding football rivalry between SUNY Cortland and Ithaca College.
