The Army West Point Black Knights opened up a 12 point lead at the half, withstood a brief Bearcat rally to begin the second half and went on to defeat Binghamton 75-60 at the Events Center on November 15.  The win moves Army's record to 2-0 while the Bearcats fall to 0-2.

A big reason for the Army rout was perimeter shooting.  The Black Knights hit for 11 three-point shots in 30 attempts to account for 33 points.  The Bearcats went 3-14 from beyond the arc for only nine points.

Missed free throws also hurt Binghamton.  The Bearcats converted 19 of 33 free throws, just 57.6 percent while Army hit 14 of 20 attempts for 70 percent.

Army's Tanner Plomb paced all scorers with 23 points.  Binghamton had four players in double figures.  Freshman Everson Davis led the Bearcats with 14 points.  Sophomore Willie Rodriguez scored 13 points.  Freshman forward Thomas Bruce tallied 11 points and Dusan Perovic notched 10 points.

The Bearcats travel to Ithaca on Wednesday to meet the Cornell Big Red.  The game is scheduled for a 6:00 start.  Air on News Radio 1290 WNBF is set for 5:45 PM.
