Say it ain't so Senators, say it ain't so. Too almost use the title to the Clash song "Will they stay or will they go." I vote that they stay. Can you tell that's an election year when I use a reference like that?

So is Ottawa considering moving the AHL Senators from Binghamton to Belleville? First of all, by all accounts Ottawa is very happy with Binghamton. A move to Belleville has to do with it being closer to Ottawa.

It could help eliminate possible passport issues since both are in Canada. Belleville also carries the Ottawa games on TV.

First: Nothing would happen until after next season. Second: if the Belleville deal falls through, they will stay in Binghamton. Third: If Ottawa leaves, there is a great chance that we would get another NHL affiliate here.

Binghamton is in good standing with the NHL and the AHL. The AHL Board of Governors would also have to approve any move and there is a lot still to be done.

The rumors began earlier this week after a story in the Ottawa Sun. No official word has been made by Ottawa but Executive Vice President of Operations for the Binghamton Senators, Tom Mitchell said that "they are not going anywhere."

So I say "LET'S GO SENS AND STAY."
