I wouldn't do this. I've gone a couple of days, but a year? No. Turns out a college kid named Josh Le was in his textiles class, being a clown when when his professor said that she researches on textiles and bacteria.  Le, jokingly said he should do a bacterial analysis on his jeans and that's where it all began. Turns out that even after going to Mexico for vacation the jeans grew no more bacteria than jeans work for a day.

So the question arises, why wash them and put them through anymore stress than you have to? Josh wore his Nudie Jeans for 15 months without washing them. Which is extreme. But how about a month? That certainly seems feasible and decreases the wear and tear on the jeans! Plus this idea reduces energy use by 40% and water use by 35%.

Besides, if you're shelling out $165 for a pair of untreated  raw denim Nudie Jeans like Josh did. You will want to get your monies worth. He wore his jeans 330 times without washing them from September of 2009 and December of 2010.
