When we want to know what the weather is going to be, we check out weather maps on our phones and tablet. Wouldn't it be kind of cool if we were able to do the same to track illness?

I don't know about, you but the last thing I want to do is get sick and now there's an app that will let us know what illnesses are floating around in which areas near us.

The app is called SickWeather and according to their website, the app "scans social media sites for indicators of illness, allowing you to check for the chance of sickness in your area as easily as you can check for the chance of rain."

Think of SickWeather as a radar for the sniffles. Obviously, it won't protect us completely from getting sick, but it can at least let us know what's going around where so we know how to protect ourselves.

StickWeather is available for both iPhone and android. If you're not crazy about downloading another app to your already app packed mobile device, you can also just check out the SickWeather app for free on your computer. I just took a peek and it says that allergies are pretty bad in and around Binghamton.  It looks like the way the app works is that people report when they're not feeling well and what their symptoms are and then the map generates a notice on their map so you know where to avoid.
