Angelina Jolie Talks About ‘Maleficent’ [VIDEO]

With the huge success of movies, 'Oz,' the 'Harry Potter' series, TV's 'Once Upon A Time' and now 'Once Upon A Time In Wonderland,' there's no question, fantasy is hotter than ever with children and adults alike.

Now, bring Oscar winning actress Angelina Jolie into the picture, starring as one of Disney's greatest villains from the 1959's animated classic 'Sleeping Beauty,' you have the good possibility of another great franchise to possibly equal the successful Johnny Depp 'Pirate' movies.  I'm sure that's what Disney is hoping for.

'Maleficent' is scheduled to open in theaters May 30th and will be Angelina's first big movie role in almost 4 years.  She recently stated that the character she plays was always one of her favorites growing up.

According to Walt Disney Pictures official plot summary, here's what to expect:

“A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal — an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom — and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well.”

It sounds all good to me.  I love Disney, Angelina and Maleficent.  Angelina recently made a rare appearance talking about her new found role in Maleficent.
