American Idol Is a Hot Mess: Judges Out, Concerts Cancelled, Singles Tanking

American Idol has turned into one big hot mess. Things just haven't been the same since Simon left and now they're getting even worse for what was once the hottest reality show on TV.

My how the mighty have fallen.  And it makes me a little sad. I watched the show every season up until Simon left.  I was a die-hard supporter who defended the show to anyone who had something bad to say about it, but I just can't defend it anymore.

Not only are Nikki, Mariah and Randy out as judges for next year, but now we've learned that the kick off show for the American Idols Live tour has been cancelled as have 9 other shows.  Lips are being closed tight as to why, but my guess is that the shows didn't sell enough tickets to cover the cost of putting on the show.

In addition to the loss of judges and cancelled tour dates, current champ Candice Glover and runner-up Kree Harrison's singles have both tanked, the lowest-selling singles ever of any "Idol" winner or top two finalists.

Is there hope for American Idol to make a huge return next year or has it seen it's glory days?  That's the question on everyone's mind.
