Alternate Street Parking in Johnson City Goes In Effect Saturday

It’s that time of year we just love so much. On Saturday, alternate street parking in Johnson City goes into effect. Oh happiness.

The Village of Johnson City wants you to know that they enforce alternate side of the street parking that starts Saturday November 1st and goes until March 31st. Between the hours of 2am and 6am, your car must be parked on the even side of the street if the date is an even number and on the odd side of the street if the date is an odd number.

Here’s an example for you: you park your car for the night at 5pm Saturday and don't plan on moving it until Sunday. You should park on the even side of the street because at 2am Sunday morning, the date will be November 2nd.

And another example: you park your car on December 31st at 5pm and don’t plan to move it until the next day. You car should be parked on the odd side of the street because January 1st will also be an odd numbered day. A lot of people forget this and park on the even side and get a ticket and well, that’s not so fun.
