Alan Jackson brings to life the spirit of the holidays during a performance of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," which aired during the 2017 CMA Country Christmas special.

Broadcast from the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Jackson sang the holiday classic backed by a full orchestra. The country legend stood center-stage with his acoustic guitar, but his vocals were the star of this memorable performance. As he sang, a picture of falling snow was shown behind him, transporting the stage performance to a winter wonderland.

The newest member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Jackson was far from the only performer at ABC's eighth-annual CMA Country Christmas. The show also featuredDan + ShayKelsea Ballerini, CB30, Brett EldredgeLady AntebellumLittle Big TownDustin Lynch, CeCe Winans, Trisha Yearwood and Chris Young. Reba McEntire hosted the show for the first time in 2017, replacing Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles, who had hosted the program since 2010.

In October, Jackson was honored by the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. Loretta Lynn presented Jackson with his medallion and discussed the first time she ever met Jackson. "He looked like a scared little boy," she said. "He was practicing backstage, going through his songs, and I remember I looked at him and I said 'You're going to be one of the greatest singers in country music."

"He hasn't let me down," she added.
