Alan Jackson‘s storied career will be honored at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Beginning in August, the country legend’s work will be seen in an exhibit called 25 Years of Keepin’ It Country.

The exhibition, which opens on Aug. 29, will run all the way through March of 2015. It’ll showcase elements of Jackson’s life, both personal and private. Awards, instruments, clothes, momentos, records and music videos will all be included. The guitar Jackson used to debut ‘Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)’ at the CMAs after Sept. 11, the front of a red Ford pickup truck that he used for his first Fan Fair booth, and several items from his ‘Mayberry’ memorabilia collection (he’s a big ‘The Andy Griffith Show’ fan) will all have a presence at the Hall of Fame.

“This exhibit will be a rare treat for museum visitors,” Museum Director Kyle Young reveals. “Fans will recognize artifacts from milestone moments in Alan’s career, as well as items from his life away from the stage that are as personal as many of the songs he has penned over the years. This exhibit and his Artist-in-Residence shows this fall are not to be missed.”

That’s right — along with also being seen in a lengthy exhibit, the singer will also be the museum’s next Artist-in-Residence. That entails several very unique and intimate performances by Jackson himself. The icon will be the first ever exhibit artist that will serve a dual role as the Artist-in-Residence.
