Today is a reminder for a huge chunk of the country of what the typical workday was like back as early as the mid 90's when we didn't have the internet to heavily rely on to get our work done.

If you have Time Warner internet like we do here at the Hawk studios, there's a chance your internet isn't working or that it works and then doesn't and then does again. The reason? The company is experiencing widespread outages across the entire country.

An outage map this morning showed no service on the East and West Coasts as well as in a huge chunk of the South. Time Warner's own website was reportedly down, but it seems to be up and running now. Time Warner says they're working on getting service back up, but they can't say when it'll be back on for everyone.

Reports say Time Warner is still set to merge with Comcast pending approval from the Federal Communications Commission. Maybe this has something to do with engineers tinkering with stuff in anticipation of the merge?

By the way, a huge thanks to our IT genius Sean for getting us on a backup this morning!
