Get ready to race because the 9th Annual Broome County Parks Triathlon is set for Saturday June 28th! The Broome County Parks Triathlon is great because there's something for athletes of all skill levels from kids to seniors.

The Adult Triathlon begins at 9:30am for individuals and teams and is as follows:

Swim: .5 mile triangular course from Whitney Point Reservoir beach.
Brightly colored caps will be provided and must be worn. Wetsuits will be allowed if the water temperature is at or below 78 degrees.

Bike: 11.5 miles from Dorchester Park on Route 26. ANSI/SNELL/CPSC/USDOT
approved bike helmet is required and drafting will result in disqualification.

Run: 5K (3.1 miles) on cross-country path and road along perimeter of reservoir, including top of dam, and back. Wide and relatively smooth course with no traffic.

The Youth Triathlon begins at 12:15 pm.

Individuals only; No Teams and this is for ages 7-10. The Youth Triathlon is as follows:

Swim: 50 yards
Bike: 1.5 miles
Run: .25 miles

Individuals only; No Teams and this is for ages 10-13. The Youth Triathlon is as follows:

Swim: 100 yards
Bike: 3 miles
Run: .5 miles

*10-year-olds can race at either level. Youth Triathlon limited to 75 registrants.
