As you're heading to downtown Binghamton for the chilly "Parade Day" celebrations, here are 5 things you need to know:

1)  Weather -  The parade begins at 1:30pm Saturday.  The forecast is partly to mostly cloudy. Snow showers developing during the afternoon, most numerous during the evening/ night. High: 28-35.  We could even see a trace to 1 inch.  Dress warm for the parade as it's definitely more chilly than the parades of the past 5 years.

2)  Obey the Law -  Open alcoholic container laws will be strictly enforced by Binghamton police.  This rule applies to all areas other than parts of State Street that are hosting special events.

3)  Restaurants and Pubs - Binghamton has a array of fine restaurants and pubs that feature some great food.  Some of these restaurants and pups have extended hours for the parade celebrations.

4)  Get a ride -  Common sense says if you've had too much to drink, ask a friend or family member to be the designated driver for the day.  Parade Day should not be remembered as the day you lost your license to drive.

5)  Cab-it Home -  Binghamton offers quite the list of cab companies if you need them.  Here's a list to keep handy on your phone:
