So you're using your smartphone thinking everything is fine and secure but later find out someone could be spying on you.  It happens every day and it happens more and more.  Most people have no idea unless you are suspicious that someone knows a little too much about you.  It could be that someone is on your phone watching you.

Kim Komando lists 5 spy apps you should be aware of:

  • Spyera -  many have no idea that Spyera is on most Apple and Android smartphones and tablets.  This software has the capability to listen in on all your phone calls and even store your conversations.  It also can track your text messages, see your photos and other private conversations with other apps on your device, even log everything you type.  Yikes!
  • TheOneSpy - For less than $20 a month, someone could be spying on your iPhone and iPad and actually listening and recording all your conversations, reading your text messages and even looking at your browse history.
  • FlexiSpy - works much like TheOneSpy but can hit your Android and Apple devices.  But this spy app can track your location AND passwords.
  • mSpy - For about $20 a month, someone could be spying on your SnapChat account, track your GPS location and restrict incoming calls.
  • Highster Mobile -  This $70 app can monitor all your personal apps and even everything your thought you deleted.  Someone with this app could actually lock out your phone.

If you're asking why these spy apps exist, they do serve a purpose.  Parents can use these apps to watch over their children online.  But you don't want to have a jealous ex use one of these on you.  That's where the danger comes in. My best advice is to be aware.
