Today (7/24) is round 2 of the Sunday Summer Slam Series at 5 Mile Point Speedway in Kirkwood. The Modifieds take center stage...or is it dirt with a 30 lap feature event. The format for the Modifieds will be draw/re-draw setup for starting position.

Danny Johnson was the winner of the first round of the four race mini-series and he looks for two in a row. The race is also a weekly point event.

The amazing thing is that there hasn't been a repeat winner this year. Nine races and nine different winners. Will it be a perfect 10 or will someone new breakthrough? It really is up for grabs tonight.

Tonight also debuts the Fight Night All Star Street Stock Series and a special Slingshot event at the end of the night.

However the biggest event that happens tonight is also the most special event for the whole season. It's "Little Mike's Race to Win." This race honors the memory of Mike Stolarcyk III. The format is also based on a draw/re-draw style for the starting positions.

Attention Whitney Point. Tonight is your Community Night. All WP residents get into the grandstand free when you show photo id. This is one of many Community Nights that 5 Mile Point has throughout the year.

Racing begins at 6:30 and kids 12 and younger get in free tonight.

Like it's been said: It's not racing until there is dirt in your beer. Go here to find out more about tonight's events.
