The 48th Annual CMA Awards will be handed out Wednesday night, live from Nashville.  It's pitched as "country music's biggest night" and with reason.  Everybody who's anybody will be in the audience tonight.  I hope you're watching with us for an exciting flurry of acceptance speeches.

As you can imagine, there are a long list of speeches that have some funny and at times, touching lines.  Here are a few of my favorites from year's past.

Willie Nelson wins a Hall of Fame Induction at the 1993 CMA Awards:  "I really thought you had to die to get here, so I went ahead and dressed up just in case."

Miranda Lambert wins Female Vocalist of the Year in 2011 (the same night Blake wins Male Vocalist of the Year):  "I Don't know what's going on.  I just told Blake, I think we need to go to church."

Loretta Lynn wins Entertainer of the Year in 1972:  "I'm really happy, but the only thing I'm sad about is that my husband has gone hunting and couldn't make it back to share my happiness with me."

Taylor Swift wins Female Vocalist of the Year in 2009 (the same year she was interrupted on stage after winning at the MTV Awards):  "I want to thank every single person in this room tonight for not running up on stage during my speech."

The Judds win Horizon Award in 1984:  (Naomi Judd) "Well slap the dog and spit in to the fire."    (Wynonna Judd)  "All I wanted was to wear a nice dress."

Who will be talking about funny lines Thursday morning?  Watch with the HAWK Wednesday night at 8 on ABC-TV and listen to the HAWK morning show Thursday morning as Glenn and Traci will share some of the night's highlights!
