It's one of my favorite events of the year. The combining of golf, hockey and a worthy cause. It's the 4th annual Binghamton Senators Golf Classic to benefit Wendy's Walk for Kids today at Traditions at the Glen. There are a lot of great things about it.

First of all, I can say I'm doing this for the kids.  It's a wonderful benefit.  Second, I get to golf along with the Binghamton Senators.  Third, It also may be one of the last times to golf this year.

Most important, I get to take someone I respect golfing and show him my appreciation. I'm taking my Dad with me this year. With my Dad around, I won't toss my clubs or do the "Ride the Pony Dance."

Once again this is a Glenn Pitcher "I made a putt" golf dance not the dance from the 90's. I see nothing wrong with the dance but for some reason when I mention it, it freaks Traci out.

There will be 125 golfers in attendance including several Binghamton Senator players. They expect to raise around $25,000 dollars for Wendy's Walk for Kids.

Wendy's Walk for Kids benefits the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, The Binghamton JCC, ACHIEVE and the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. The weather is supposed to be perfect. Shot gun start today at Noon. I hope to see ya there.
