I get it going to a wedding is expensive. Some of you are over the top cheap when it comes to wedding gifts though. According to a new survey, 41% of people have given something from out of their house as a wedding gift. Check out four other stats they found:

1. 20% have signed their name on another guest's gift, without contributing to it.

2. One in ten have lied and told a married couple that their wedding gift was on its way, when it wasn't, because they hadn't bought it yet.

3. People only want to spend an average of $70 on a gift, but when it comes to their own wedding, they think they should get gifts that cost around $80.

4. 7% of us would prefer not to give gifts at all, if we had a choice.

Why? Basically, people stress about what to buy, how much to spend, and whether they'll have to overspend to avoid looking like a cheap skate.

And 10% of people say they just don't like wedding registries in the first place, because they don't like being told what to buy.
